the nuts

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

pretty much all behind something, i know behind the rock by the spider, and behind the rock by the well.

bird stone

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

throw hansels papers in the fire and shoot the pipe to make a spark. the fire makes the bird drop the stone

the well stone

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

pretty easy, grab the bucket, shoo away the bird and go behind the well. vines cover it, just shoot the flowers so that they all fall off and you can pull the stone up

most of the rest of the stones

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

lying around, check behind everything you can walk behind, rocks, trees, the well, the stairs and roots

im still missing the spider stone and one other (something to do with the beehive?), and i cant get the key to the door in our room.
Comment 10, Thursday, 22 Oct 2009 12:06:04

If collecting the stones is this gory, I'd hate to see the part where Gretel throws the witch in the oven. Go part 2.

I haen't even really started the game yet, and I already love it! The animation is BRILLIANT!!! (Tho, I think that if I had a wife that sounded like THAT, I'd leave HER in the woods! lol)

So what are you supposed to do during the final run through the woods?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Jump the stumps and kill the crows?

That was just plain confusing.

You are supposed to click the double arrows in the bottom right to 'skip' because the game is more a less an exercise in 101 ways to get run over by a rickshaw. There should be at least a dozen achievements there for stupidity.

Walkthrough:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

After learning that your parents are willing to kill/abandon you, get the slingshot off the wall by the bed.

Take a few practice shots - use the mouse to aim and click to fire.

Break the lower right window pane and a fly comes in. Shoot the fly when it pauses just above Hansel's mouth.

Explain everything to Hansel, and he packs a bag for you.

Walk over to the rocking horse, then click the middle of its back, bringing Hansel over to help.

Once the rocking horse is out of the way, walk to the hole in the wall and click to crawl out.

Stone 1: Just to the right of the bottom of the stairs.

Stone 2: Behind stump on left

Acorn 1: Behind stump between stairs and left stump.

Go down the stairs (or down the large root) to the right. Move up towards the well, and the scene changes.

Wishing Well:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Acorn 2: Behind the large stump.

Walk to the bucket to take it.

Walk behind the well, and vines grow over it.

Shoot the black flowers on the vines until they all turn white (I can't tell if there's a pattern to shoot one first, then another second. Just be quick about it)

Walk behind the well to get an idea. Get the bucket from your inventory and drag it to Gretel.

Stone 3: In the bucket.

Exit at the bottom of the screen, then follow the arrow to the right of the house to get to the spider.

Spider

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Shoot the small web at the base of the rock to get handle

Acorn 3: Behind rock

Stone 4: Behind left root

Go to the right root and get mushroom.

Exit back to the house

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Crawl back inside the house and walk over to the papers Hansel is writing.

Put the papers in the fireplace then shoot the chimney pipe at the first bend.

Crawl back outside and get

Stone 5: Dropped by bird

Walk over to the circle under the cage. Put the acorns on the ground there.

Walk over to the doorbell-looking thing on the corner of the house.

Shoot the squirrel, then hit the switch. Pick up

Stone 6: Dropped by squirrel

Pick up the branch that fell when you shot the squirrel.

Stone 7: Under the stairs

Go over to the beehive. Use the branch to knock it down. Get out of the way before the bees get you.

Walk close enough to the beehive to get an idea, then eat the mushroom.

Stone 8: In the beehive.

Soak the doll in honey, then go back to the spider.

Spider Again

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Get close enough to the shadow to get an idea. Put the doll on the shadow.

Stone 9: In the spider web

Go back to the house.

On the corner of the house between the window and the cage switch is a loose board. Shoot it.

Stone 10: Falls out of the house.

Watch the cutscene, then it's off to the races

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Jump the stumps, rabbits and squirrels with the spacebar. Shoot the crows with the slingshot.

Not sure if you get a different ending the better you do, but both my endings were the same with 0/10 and 3/10.

You'd think if Gretel was such an ace with that slingshot, the family could just employ her to get a few squirrels and rabbits.

But then that would be a completely different game.

I submitted this game in the hopes that someone could help me finish it.
I can't get the stinkin squirrel!

I see the squirrel, but by the time I get all the acorns, he's nowhere to be found.

Any advice?

I know. I looked at the videos on Youtube.
What i'm saying is, the squirrel isn't doing on the game what he does in the Youtube videos.

For the squirrel:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Gather all the nuts, then put them under the cage on the left side of the house. You should then be able to lure the fuzzy creature over to the nuts. Now on the corner of the house is a red button and what looks like a grey button (it's actually a space for a wheel thing) Push the red button when the squirrel is positioned under the cage. There you go.

Beehive:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

You have to shoot down the stick/branch that is on the left side of the screen. The scene in front of the house when you first crawl out.

More squirrel help:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

I kept shooting him until he was checking out the nuts, THEN I put down the cage. If you need to raise the cage again, the wheel is in the spider screen against the big rock on the left.

Oooo! Bonus death! It's the death by axe! Yes, I'm morbid and trying to getthem all, but it's to see what happens if you do! x3

In case you're after the same, here's how to get it.

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)

Shoot the clock off the wall and pick up the pieces. Then click the hands separately. If you hear click, stop moving the hand! If you moved it past the number, don't worry. Just keep it in mind and click back to it. If both hands are on the right numbers, then a hidden compartment opens up to show a key used in the bedroom!
